Updating House transportation reauthorization database...
By Bill Allison May 20 2009 12:52 a.m. 3 comments...with this requests from Rep. Tom Perriello. Worth taking a look at -- I like the way he uses Google maps along with the requests:
Here's the description:
Project name: Smith River Trails
Continue design and construction of Smith River Trail system east of Mulberry Creek to new Smith River Sports Complex.
Requested amount: $572,400

Your database still shows no disclosures for my representative, Baron Hill. However, he posted his appropriations requests online back on May 15, and it showed up in my feed reader that morning. In fact, I even put up a quick Google map of his requests for Monroe County:
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=100977054228701112922.000469f89f4b4d9ddd5d2&z=13
We must have missed this. I got your direct tweet -- I'll put up a post a little later today.
Thanks! Keep up the great work.
Baron Hill's site is a little confusing with the links - if you click on "Appropriations" directly, you're taken to an out-of-date page that doesn't link to the actual requests. You have to hover over the link on the menu to get the link to the "Appropriations Requests" page. The good thing, though, is that the requests do have an RSS feed.
